JB Custom Rods is pleased to announce that we have been working with the guides from Island Tackle and Hardware at Carolina Beach to create a new series of rods.......KRAKEN.

Given our success with tournament bass rods...Extra Sensory Power (ESP), it is our goal to bring our technical achievements in rod design and increased sensitivity to tthe salt water market. We feel these new rods will increase the level of awareness and improve the average fisherman by increasing his/her sensory perception, therefore making him/her a better fisherman.

This series is named for the mythological sea monster......KRAKEN. As with their namesake, these rods will fear nothing in the sea and will strike fear into your competitors at any tournament you may fish!

CAROLINA FLATS SERIES

This group will feature redfish, spec, whiting, sheepshead, plugging and flounder rods. These rods will require Extra Sensory Power building techniques to feel the bite and therefore improve your catch ratio. If you have never fished with a JB Custom Rod, you owe it to yourself to feel the difference between a custom rod and a cheap offshore model!

PIER RAT SERIES

Anchor rods and fighting rods, both noted for increased sensitivity and strength achieved through new designs and building techniques not typically used in saltwater rods!

VERTICAL JIG RODS

This series originated in the Cheseapeake Bay area, I borrowed it from my best friend...Bill O'Brien. He has built and scientifically designed the best jig rods on the market in my opinion! These rods are unequalled in performance and comfort. We worked together to refine the procedure for making carbon fiber handles. The carbon fiber handle make these jig rods the most comfortable ones to fish reducing arm chaffing and bruising.

These rods will be available in 250 GRAM, 325 GRAM AND 500 GRAM models.. They will be available in either spinning or acid wrap (spiral wrap) only! Colors, handle shape and size will be left up to the fisherman.

LIVEBAIT RODS

These rods were designed for the ultimate performance in kingfish fishing. Our experience in competitive tournament fishing will set this new series above all otheres! This type of rodbuilding experience has not been applied to the new and growing saltwater tournament scene!
